Abstract

I will describe a procedure originally sketched by Gromov allowing to produce mean-convex or mean-concave exhaustions when certain very mild conditions on the metric are met. I will then describe a smoothing procedure. This construction is motivated by applications to the proof of isoperimetric inequalities on manifolds with curvature lower bounds on any dimension.
