This talk focuses on enriched continuum modelling of finite-sized, mechanical, band-gap metamaterials using the reduced, relaxed, micromorphic model (RRMM).
Unlike the bulk behaviour usually considered, we focus on finite-sized metamaterials.
Each is constructed from a different unit cell "cut," which dictates the boundary effects that arise.
By coupling the RRMM with the method of interface forces, we can include these effects in the reduced relaxed micromorphic framework
