Generative AI and Research Integrity: practical cases and new challenges
The Research Ethics and Integrity Office and the INTEGRA Research Group of the University of Trento are promoting this series of meetings with the aim of trying to provide skills and awareness to foster a culture of ethics and integrity across all levels of the academic community.

What challenges does generative artificial intelligence pose in research contexts? How can it be used in compliance with Research Integrity principles? Are there relevant regulations and standards?
The workshop aims to analyse these issues, as well as the experiences and questions of the university community, through a practical and interactive approach, including practical cases that will allow participants to discuss the potentials, risks, ethical dilemmas, and legal issues associated with the use of generative AI across all phases of research.
A dedicated session will examine the issues arising from these cases in light of the existing regulatory framework, with particular attention to the University of Trento’s guidelines, and the legal and regulatory context at national, European, and international levels.
