Speaker: Daria De Pretis | Former Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Italian Republic and Rector of the University of Trento

The event will be followed by a presentation by Mirna Toccaceli, a 2026 MEIS graduate and winner of the 2026 Rotari Trentodoc Award for the best master’s thesis in International Relations, with a dissertation entitled: "The EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM): Addressing Intra-EU and Extra-EU Barriers to Foster Multilateral Cooperation on Carbon Pricing".

The 2026 Distinguished Teacher Award will also be presented to Professor Georgios Glouftsios, in recognition of the fact that "the lecturer stands out for his ability to provide structured and constructive feedback at different stages of the educational process and for his use of a range of highly effective innovative teaching tools. Particular appreciation has been expressed for the care taken in designing the syllabus, organizing the course’s Moodle page, and selecting supporting materials, which are varied, highly up to date, and conducive to learning."
