Abstract
Transition towards sustainability is now more urgent than ever. Under the umbrella of the socio-ecological transition, this seminar explores three different topics: communities, gender equality, energy and democracy through the works of three visiting researchers. Giacomo Molinari presents the Italian context, the neo-rural turn, the role of communities in addressing ecological issues. Holly Patch focuses on gendered futures of small-scale farming in the EU. Mariana Galvao Lyra interconnects energy-mineral nexus in the transitions and democracy.
The discussants will provide the researchers with comments and then the floor will be open for discussions from the public. Researchers and students of all levels are more than welcome to participate.
