Citizen Science Projects for Schools

Chiara Fedrigotti
Graduated in Ecology and Evolution from the University of Ferrara, she works at MUSE – Science Museum of Trento in the scientific research department, where she is involved in local projects and citizen engagement in biodiversity monitoring through a Citizen Science approach. Her main areas of interest include the evolution of the Alpine landscape and human-environment interactions, as well as the conservation of Alpine biodiversity in both protected areas and human-influenced landscapes. She is currently pursuing a PhD at BOKU University in Vienna, focusing on the potential of Citizen Science for monitoring and conserving Natura 2000 species and habitats.
Maria Vittoria Zucchelli
Graduated in Biological Sciences from the University of Parma, she works at MUSE – Science Museum of Trento, where she is involved in educational programme design on environmental issues. As a science communicator, she manages various Citizen Science projects in collaboration with universities, associations, and public administrations. In recent years, she has focused in particular on participatory science projects dedicated to environmental monitoring and the biodiversity of urban pollinators.
