Characterization of polymer materials embedded with nanomaterials for photovoltaic and solar thermal energy applications

The objective of this work is to develop a methodology for incorporating zinc oxide (ZnO) nanomaterials into Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA)  polymer encapsulant and Phase Change Materials (PCM) as emerging materials for photovoltaic (PV) modules based on crystalline solar cells. 

In this talk, we discuss the experimental investigations such as the preparation and analysis of a new nanocomposites materials, by using various optical, structural, and thermal characterizations techniques.

The results indicated that ZnO serves as an ideal nanomaterial in the filed of solar energy.
