Automotive trends
An overview of the latest innovations shaping the automitive industry: from next-generation electronic architecture to autonomous driving systems, and the gorwing aimpct of software in future vehicles.
An introduction to current trends in the automotive industry in E/E architectures and components, towards autonomous driving and enhanced functionalities.
L2++ and L3 functions require extended sensor sets and high computational load for their processing and fusion, which, on the other hand, can also allow HW rationalisation and weight reduction, so that evolving E/E architectures is the enabler for such functionalities. In addition, SW is also playing a key role, and its higher and higher development and validation costs are pushing to design it for reuse and evolution, as a stack decoupled from the HW platform (SDV - SW-defined vehicles).
