General Information

We are pleased to announce the 4th FLASH WORKSHOP, which will be held in Trento, 1st-3rd July 2026.

The FLASH Workshop reached the 4th edition, after the first meeting in Stockholm in 2023 and the two following ones in Heidelberg (2024 and 2025). These meetings were very successful, particularly in fostering engaging discussions on the key challenges of the FLASH effect. This year, the Workshop will be staged in the gorgeous alpine city of Trento, Italy.

The focus of the Workshop is on the mechanistic understanding of the biological response following ultra-high dose rate radiation,  investigating in particular the role of physical parameters (i.e., dose, dose rate, LET,  pulse structure, fractionation) and environmental ones (i.e., oxygen, scavengers, antioxydants etc.).

The Workshop, coorganized by UniTN, INFN, and the Trento Protontherapy Center, while being especially dedicated to young students whose contribution is highly encouraged through the submission of an abstract on the different topics, will include, as usual contribution from senior speakers and moderators, including a number of plenary lectures from established scientists in the field.

On behalf of the International Scientific Committee and of the Local Organizing Committee, we will be pleased to have you join us in Trento.

Please mark the date, and look at the Abstract Submission page. Further information, including the registration, will follow shortly.
