CIVIT aims to serve as a link between research and production.

In recent years, nurseries have been picking up signals from wine producers that demand new strategies. In particular, innovation is required regarding resistance to major fungal diseases in order to reduce phytosanitary treatments. For this reason, CIVIT is committed to promoting resistant grape varieties obtained through cross-breeding and supporting Genome Editing activities.
