Abstract
This seminar will discuss how information about the human past is circulated and weaponised, on social media, to antagonise others. Through a range of case studies, it will present how aspects of the content and of the context of information diffusion contribute to the emergence and spread of hostility online. In doing so, it will also illustrate a suite of methods to analyse such factors and dynamics through the combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches.
