Horizon Europe sets high standards for research ethics and integrity, and it is essential that applicants and grant beneficiaries are aware of their responsibilities and obligations. This seminar will cover the key ethical considerations and requirements for Horizon Europe projects, including research security, dual use, and artificial intelligence.
It will also provide guidance on integrating ethics into research projects, covering the entire project lifecycle from proposal to implementation, and will discuss best practices in research ethics and compliance.
Speaker: Dr. Francesco Paolo Mancini (European Research Executive Agency).
Francesco Paolo Mancini is a Research Programme Manager at the European Research Executive Agency (REA). Francesco Paolo is part of the Coordination team in charge of the MSCA PF programme and Chair of the REA Network of Ethics Correspondents. Previously, he served as Project Officer at Clean Sky Joint Undertaking. Francesco Paolo holds a D.Phil in Theoretical Physics from the University of Oxford and he has been working as a researcher for 15 years before moving to the management of scientific research. He joined the EU institutions in 2014.
