Speaker's biography
Federico Donelli is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of International Relations in the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the University of Trieste, Italy. His research focuses on international politics and security in the Middle East and Africa, with particular emphasis on the foreign policies of regional and extra-regional actors.
In addition to his academic role, Dr. Donelli serves as a Senior Associate Research Fellow at the Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI), contributing to analyses on the Middle East and Africa.
His recent research examines the militarization of the Red Sea and the growing global competition in Sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Donelli has also published works on topics such as Turkish-Egyptian relations in the Horn of Africa and the involvement of Middle Eastern states in the region.
