Mirath is one of the 14 candidates which advanced to the second round of the Additional Digital Signatures for the Post Quantum Cryptography Standardization Process promoted by NIST. We will give a high level description of the Mirath signature scheme: starting from the underlying MinRank problem we will discuss the architecture of the Zero Knowledge Proof of Knowledge on which Mirath relies and we will end with some considerations on security, advantages and limitations of this candidate.
