Program Overview & Leadership

The curriculum trains researchers in the design, characterization and development of advanced sensors and payloads for space applications, bridging scientific requirements and the engineering of satellite instrumentation. It covers detection technologies for ionizing radiation (charged particles, X-rays, gamma rays), optical and radio sensors (infrared to ultraviolet, SAR, radio frequency) and non-imaging sensors (magnetic and electric fields, plasmas, gravitational measurements), together with radiation–matter interaction in space-grade materials and electronics.
