The course aims to support you through your post-PhD career transition by providing concrete tools, practical strategies, and reflective space to (re)design your professional path.
Session 1: June 17 – Non-academic job search: hidden pitfalls, hiring processes, and practical strategies.
Session 2: June 24 – How to identify and communicate your PhD skills, with a focus on CV and cover letters.
Session 3: July 1 – Preparing for job interviews and tackling key questions about life beyond academia.
The course is highly experiential, hands-on, and engaging.
It combines theory with exercises, simulations, and tools you can immediately apply to real-world situations.
The course language will be English.
The course will be led by Chiara Veneziani, a PhD in Psychology, an expert in PhD career transitions. As a recruiter and trainer at Find Your Doctor, she has been supporting researchers for years as they move toward non-academic careers, with a deep understanding of both the academic mindset and employers' expectations.
The course is open 25 people according to the order of the request, please register only if you can participate to all of the sessions. We will contact all of the applicants after the 11th of June to inform if admitted or not to the course, in case of renounces we will scroll through the list of applications.
