This cycle of 4 webinars aims to provide the basic knowledge required on the protection and valorization of research results.

The event offers an overview of the legal tools available to protect, manage and commercialise software, whilst also addressing the new challenges posed by artificial intelligence. The session will examine the protection of software through copyright and trade secrets, registration and international protection, as well as the main strategies for commercialisation through sales and licensing. A specific section will be devoted to the relationship between software, data and AI, with particular attention to the use of works and databases for training AI systems and to the protection of innovations generated or assisted by artificial intelligence.

The webinar will be held in Italian.
A certificate of attendance for each webinar can be provided by the Division for the Valorization and Impact of Research, if you have attended at least 70% of the course. Participation by the University's administrative and technical staff (PTA) will be certified by the Secretariat of the Directorate of Research Services and Valorization in collaboration with the Training and Continuing Professional Development Office. The hours of attendance will be recorded and added to the training curriculum of the participants who have attended at least 70% of the course.
