Abstract

The seminar shows the methodology and the main results of the Quality Survey of the 7th General Census of Agriculture (CGA), conducted by Istat in 2022. After introducing some summary statistics of the CGA, the presentation defines the measurement (or response) error at the CGA and describes the main features of the Quality Survey with particular reference to: the reconciliation process between the census data and the survey data; the statistical formalisation of the bias in counts and census totals induced by the measurement error; the sampling strategy for estimating the bias induced by the measurement error; the results on the estimated bias for the main variables and domains of interest.
