Safety at Bus Stops: Design Thinking Workshop
Bus stops are social spaces that are part of our daily lives, but how safe, welcoming, and inclusive do they really feel? In Trento, as in many cities, public spaces can leave some people feeling uneasy, especially after dark or in less-frequented areas. How can technology, design, and human creativity transform these spaces into environments that everyone can experience with confidence and comfort?
In this interactive workshop, participants will engage in hands-on, participatory design activities to explore, imagine, and prototype solutions for urban safety.
Led by a team of students in Human-Computer Interaction, this workshop combines creative thinking, social insight, and creative design approach to tackle a pressing urban issue. No prior expertise is required: just curiosity, imagination, and a willingness to co-create solutions that can genuinely make public spaces safer and more inclusive.
Join us for an afternoon of collaboration, creativity, and hands-on exploration and be part of a project that brings together research, technology, and real-world impact to rethink what safety means in the city and how it can be well experienced by all.
We kindly ask you to write your email to participate. Your email address will only be used for organizational purposes and will not be shared or used for any other reason.
The workshop will be held in English. No advanced proficiency is required, just enough to comfortably take part in the conversation.
