SPaRe Lab Intensive Training Workshop on ‘Qualitative Data Visualisation’
Abstract
The two-day workshop offers an intensive training on qualitative data visualization. Combining theory and practice, the program equips social science students and researchers with the fundamental tools needed to, on the one hand, critically analyze and conceptualize research data, and on the other, to communicate and visually narrate their findings. The goal is to provide participants with the skills necessary to translate qualitative research results into clear, accessible visual formats—useful both for peer-to-peer communication (conferences, articles, seminars) and dissemination to non-academic audiences. This is achieved by fostering dialogue between social science scholars and graphic designers regarding qualitative data visualization.
The workshop is aimed at PhD and Master’s students as well as researchers from the University of Trento and other universities. Maximum 20 participants.
