From 23 to 25 June 2026, Trento will host the three-day HECTA Summer School - a joint initiative by the Universities of Trento (DEM), Bolzano-Bozen, and Innsbruck.

Welcoming MSc and PhD students from diverse backgrounds - including Economics, Management, Business, Engineering, Biotechnology, Healthcare, and Statistics - the school will equip participants with foundational knowledge in Health Technology Assessment (HTA), along with the analytical and modelling capabilities needed to perform an economic evaluation of implementing a new health technology.

As healthcare costs rise and the EU HTA Regulation (2021/2282) comes into force, the need for professionals trained in HTA has never been greater. The programme will provide essential tools for evidence-based resource allocation, and career development across the healthcare industry, public institutions, and academia. Across three themed days, participants will develop highly sought-after analytical competencies.

The initiative enjoys the financial support of Euregio via the Euregio Mobility Fund.

Scientific Coordinator: Prof. Paolo Candio - paolo.candio@unitn.it
