Webinar Series third Appointment “Health, water and hygiene, One Health” - 24th June 14:00-16:00 CEST and call for Thematic Work

Dear partners of the UNITAFRICA project,

With the following we would like to invite you to the third webinar of the series UNITAFRICA: “Health, water and hygiene, One Health;: the role of university cooperation between African countries and Italy”. The webinar takes place on Tuesday June the 24th from 14:00 to 16:00 CEST.

The three longer presentations (15 min each) will be:

1. "I have seen Digital tools for Resilient WASH! That is fine" - Prof. Kwabena Biritwum Nyarko - Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology - Ghana

2. Diagnostic Challenges of Female Genital Schistosomiasis - Prof.Pavitra Pillay  - Durban University of Technology - South Africa

3. Strengthening Community Health Systems in Post-Conflict Contexts: A Case Study from Somalia Mukhtar Sh Mohamed Ahmed - Somali National University - Somalia 

Each contribute will be of 15 min with a final Q&A session

After the Q&A session further brief presentations (max 3 min) will be presented.

• 15’ First presentation 

• 15’ Second presentation 

• 15’ Third presentation

• 20’ Q&A on presentations

• 30’ Pop Up session (with planned and spontaneous short presentations 3 min)

During the Addis Ababa meeting,  people from different universities showed interest in fostering collaborations with other universities, in order to do so we created a platform to propose and to join existing Thematic Working Groups (LINK). During the Webinar Series we will give a moment in the pop up session to present the proposed thematic groups. The groups will be autonomously managed by the interested people with occasional updates to the UNITAFRICA wider group, the UNITAFRICA website can be used as a tool to increase visibility of the achieved results of the Thematic Groups .
 

We would like to remind that the form for call for contribution (LINK)  for the following webinars will be kept open and we welcome new contribution, as well we would like to underline the relevance of taking the opportunities to highlight the existing or the potential role of University International cooperation between African Countries and Italy.

For those who have already filled in the form and did not receive an answer yet, we are still evaluating the contribution for the following webinars and we will contact you as soon as possible.
