Attraverso i tuoi occhi

The LIMS-Interdepartmental Memory and Society Laboratory of the University of Trento, in collaboration with the Municipality of Trento and the Alzheimer Center of Trento, close to World’s Alzheimer Day (September 21), is pleased to host the performance-show ‘Attraverso i tuoi occhi’ by and with Giovanni Dallapé, singer-songwriter and music therapist.

The show will be preceded by institutional greetings from the Rector of the University of Trento, Prof. Flavio Deflorian, and the Director of the Department of Humanities, Prof. Massimiliano Bampi. Speeches will be given by Professors Giorgia Proietti (Department of Humanities), Coordinator of the LIMS, and Maria Micaela Coppola (Department of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences). Speeches will also be given by Giorgia Caldini, director of the APSP Civica Alzheimer's Day Center of Trento, and by Mariaserena Zendri, contact for the Project ‘Comunità amiche delle persone con demenza’ at the Municipality of Trento.

Description

‘Attraverso i tuoi occhi’ is a narrative and musical performance curated by Giovanni Dallapé, a singer-songwriter from Trentino and music therapist at the Alzheimer’s center itself: the performance, already successfully proposed in the area on several occasions (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgkfGYrDKBA), will show the incredible power of music to reactivate cultural memory, even when biological memory is defective or absent.
