A new red bench, a universal symbol of commitment against violence against women, will be unveiled on 27 November 2025 at 14.00 in Rovereto, at the ex Manifattura Tabacchi.

The initiative is part of the University project Fuori dall’ombra: panchine rosse (Out of the Shadow: red benches), supported by the Center for Mind/Brain Sciences and the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science of the University of Trento. Its purpose is to share a reflection on violence against women with the academic and city community, to strengthen their commitment against all forms of violence.

The photo exhibition "Slightly Out of Focus" will be on display from the afternoon of 28 November to the morning of 12 December at Palazzo Piomarta (corso Bettini, 84 - Rovereto). Admission is free.

Fuori dall'ombra is a project by the University of Trento launched in 2021. It contributes to achieving the 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals, in particular Goal 5 "Gender equality".
