SHIFT- LIFE4HUB International Summer School 2026
The SHIFT–Life4Hub International Summer School 2026, focused on Innovations and Challenges in Sustainable Regenerative Medicine, will be held in Trento, Italy. The school is organized by the BIOtech Research Center of the University of Trento, Department of Industrial Engineering, within the framework of the SHIFT (Shaping Innovative Products for Sustainable Tissue Engineering Strategies) and Life4Hub (Living Innovative Fully Engineered for Human Bioreplacement) projects.
The SHIFT project is the follow-up of the MSCA (Marie Skłodowska-Curie) RISE REMIX project and is a research and mobility initiative funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. The Life4Hub project is a national strategic initiative in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, funded by the Italian Ministry of Health under the Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza (PNRR), operating within Traiettoria 4 – Biotecnologie, bioinformatica e sviluppo farmaceutico of the Piano Operativo Salute.
The school will bring together participants from around the world to explore recent advances and emerging challenges in sustainable regenerative medicine. Particular emphasis will be placed on bioinspired strategies, environmentally responsible technologies, and translational approaches that bridge fundamental research with clinical application.
Through lectures and interactive sessions, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of how sustainability principles and circular-economy models can enhance the performance, scalability, and impact of regenerative therapies. A dedicated international young researchers’ session will further enrich the program, offering opportunities for both oral and poster presentations.
The summer school is primarily intended for early-career researchers, including PhD students and postdoctoral fellows, with backgrounds in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Medicine. Master’s students with a strong interest in regenerative medicine and sustainable technologies are also welcome.
We look forward to welcoming you to Trento in June 2026!
